Before you start, make sure you have the following info to hand - username and password.
Please refer to your passwords info sheet for details

Into 'email address' you will need to type your username@hms.hants.gov.uk       
e.g. MTEACHE13@hms.hants.gov.uk or forname.surnamehms.hants.gov.uk
Into 'password' I need to type your wordnumberword password - e.g     Random365words

Remove the account
(You are removing the email account from the laptop - this won't delete your emails!)

  1.     click on the mail icon to open the mail app
  2.     click on the cog icon (bottom left)
  3.     click on 'Manage accounts'
  4.     click on your hms email account
  5.     tap 'Delete this account from this device'
  6.     tap 'delete' then 'done'

Re-add the account

  1.     click on the mail icon to open the mail app
  2.     click on the cog icon (bottom left)
  3.     click on '+ Add account' (you may need to click 'Manage accounts' first)
  4.     click on 'exchange'
  5.     and re-add your email account following the prompts onscreen
  6.     (if 'Make my PC more secure' tap 'Enforce')

Finally

  1.     in the mail app, click on the cog
  2.     click on 'Manage accounts'
  3.     click  'Change mailbox sync settings'
  4.     below 'Download new content' make sure  'as items arrive' is selected
  5.     below 'Download mail from' make sure 'any time' is displayed
  6.     tap 'Done and 'Save'
