New Register (Clean Data) icon problems

Having problems reaching the clean data page?

Make sure you use the following when prompted

User = clean
Pass = data

Importing clean data into a new register

Do you get one of these messages when trying to copy selected students across into a new register?

  • This workbook contains one or more links which cannot be updated

    and / or

  • 'C:\Users\Blah Blah\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART\PERSONAL.XLSB

Download this fix

 Both files will behave like this:

  • Once it has downloaded choose 'run' (you can ignore any dire security warnings)
  • Windows protected your PC - tap on 'More info'
  • Tap 'Run anyway' - and wait a few seconds
  • 'Do you want to allow this app too make changes?' tap 'Yes' (screen goes blank for 30 - 60 seconds)
  • 'This will install Blah blah' tap 'Continue' (wait for green progress bar to complete)

Lastly, you might be able to access clean data, but whe you select children, the 'child count' remains at 0 and you get an error message. If so, do the following:

1. open my computer (yellow folder icon to right of bottom bar)
2. click view and tick 'hidden items'
3. Navigate to this folder: C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART
(where NAME might be your name, or HMS)
4. Delete any files called 'PERSONAL'
5. click view and UNtick 'hidden items'
6. install this update - http://hantsmusic.org.uk/tablets/PersonalFix.exe
