A downloadable guide can be found here - Nexcloud set up - staff
You can set up your laptop to directly synchronise resources from the cloud onto your laptop hard drive. Synchronised files are stored on the D drive within the Nextcloud folder. Once downloaded you access these via the icon on the bottom left hand side of the desktop (yellow folder with green arrows.)
Once you have selected the resources you require they will be kept up to date on your laptop so when a resource is updated in the cloud you will get the new version automatically. Below are some instructions on how to set up synchronisation - please don't try and download everything there is more data in the cloud then there is space on your D drive!
Selecting Nextcloud folders to sync with your HMS laptop
- Double click on the BLUE ‘Nextcloud’ icon on the desktop (bottom left)
- In the small window that appears, click on your name then settings
- In the next window click on the ‘>’ at the top of the main window to expand the list of folders available to you
- You can expand folders by clicking on the ‘>’
- Select folders to sync by clicking on the □ which adds a tick
- Close the window when done
Caution! With folders you ‘own’ you can delete files and folders through the sync agent (but you can’t accidentally delete files / folders that are only shared with you – i.e. L2Me)
